Humanity’s search for life beyond Earth has grown far beyond a single organisation. In SETI Space Agencies, powerful institutions from around the world join the mission to explore the cosmos. Each agency brings its own expertise, technologies, and research priorities, shaping how the search unfolds as scientists push further into the unknown.

This expansion for SETI Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence introduces unique asymmetric factions that give every player a distinct scientific approach. Each space agency comes with its own special abilities and strategic direction. Some organisations excel at launching probes and expanding exploration across the solar system. Others specialise in analysing signals from distant stars or accelerating technological development back on Earth.

Choosing an agency immediately changes how you approach the game. A research group focused on data analysis may reward careful signal scanning and card synergy. Another agency might prioritise physical exploration of planets and moons, encouraging bold probe launches and clever timing as celestial bodies move through the solar system.

Alongside these new factions, the expansion introduces additional project cards, technologies, and discoveries that deepen the strategic possibilities of the base game. These new cards integrate seamlessly into the original decks, expanding the range of tools players can use to shape their research program. The result is a richer and more varied experience where every playthrough develops in a slightly different direction.
