Set in the later years of the Viking Age you will find Explorers of the North Sea.

Explorers of the North Sea is a fantastic pick-up and deliver game with a modular board providing a unique map every time. As adventurous Viking sea captains you will set sail aboard your longship to seek out new lands. Transport your crew to newly discovered islands, raid settlements, construct outposts and seize livestock. With varied ways to accumulate points you will have to decide how to best take advantage of opportunities that present themselves.

Designed by Shem Phillips, Explorers of the North Sea is the third game in the North Sea Trilogy. It can be played independently of its counterparts, Shipwrights of the North Sea and Raiders of the North Sea, also published by Garphill Games. However, the Trilogy can be combined through the Runesaga Expansion. You can also add the Rocks of Ruin Expansion to Explorers for more fun!

Explorers of the North Sea is a brilliant pick up and deliver game. I really enjoy watching the game grow on the tabletop. I equally like the puzzle of it all. The fact that it doesn’t take forever and that it is played at a decent pace, while still offering something to think about is a boon.
