Slide
The goal of Slide is simple yet strategic: get rid of as many cards as you can to minimize your score.
To set up, each player is dealt sixteen cards and arranges them in a face-down 4x4 grid. Cards range from 1 to 10, with ten copies of each number.
To begin, players reveal one card from their grid. The player with the lowest number goes first, claiming any revealed card and sliding it into their grid to fill the gap left by the removed card. Play continues clockwise, with each player repeating this process fifteen more times, until every card in the grid is face-up.
Once revealed, any adjacent cards with matching numbers are removed, and the sum of the remaining cards becomes your score. The player with the lowest score wins.
For an extended challenge, you can play multiple rounds until a player reaches 100 points—again, the lowest score takes the victory!
