Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery 2nd Edition.
Set in Ancient Rome, Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery is a fast-paced board game where players compete in backstabbing schemes, fierce bidding wars and bloody gladiatorial combat!
Players each take the role of head of an influential house in the Roman City of Capua. Firstly players must launch their cunning schemes to increase their fortunes whilst threatening the power of their adversaries.
Next players visit the market place where all manner of goods can be bought and sold. Bid against each other to acquire new and better assets at auction. Bluff and barter to outwit the competition.
The Arena Phase sees rival houses opposing each other in bloody battle. Contenders use Attack, Defence and Speed dice to determine the winner. Bet on the results of the contest to benefit from others misfortune.
Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treasury encourages players to blackmail, steal, poison and betray each other at every given opportunity.
This second edition of Spartacus features a brand new art style that focuses on original illustrations rather than images from the television series. One of the houses previously featured in the original edition (House Solonius) has also been replaced by a new house hailing from North Africa, called House Chuma.
