This expansion is designed to integrate with the base Cyclades Legendary Edition so your core battles for favour of the gods and control of the isles remain the strategic heart of play. On your turn you continue to bid for the favour of gods to unlock actions but now the ever-raging seas and fearsome creatures add new layers of tactical consideration. Should you commit efforts to strengthen your city or hold back resources to counter the mythic threats that surge across the board? These decisions raise the stakes every round.

Cyclades: Maelstrom Expansion brings fourteen standees representing seven mighty creatures and seven legendary heroes plus their corresponding cards and a set of metropolis tokens that expand scoring options and strategic depth. The added content increases the number of meaningful choices players weigh each turn and enhances variability across sessions. With every game you will face fresh decisions as you balance conflict naval might diplomacy and mythic power in pursuit of hegemony over the Cyclades isles.
