These Terms apply to all purchases made on boardgamist.com by consumers in the United Kingdom. They do not affect your statutory rights.

2. PLACING AN ORDER

2.1 When you place an order, you are offering to buy products from us. We'll email you to acknowledge receipt of your order. A contract is formed only when we email you a dispatch confirmation (the "Contract").

2.2 If we cannot accept your order (for example, because an item is out of stock, a pricing error has occurred, or we suspect fraudulent activity), we will cancel your order and refund any payment taken.

2.3 Product images are for illustration only. Components, colours and packaging may vary from those shown. If you require details of a specific edition or printing, please contact us before placing your order.

3. PRICES, TAX, PROMOTIONS AND ERRORS

3.1 All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are calculated and displayed during checkout.

3.2 We may change prices and promotional offers at any time. Promotional pricing applies only during the advertised period and while stocks last.

3.3 Although we make every effort to ensure accuracy, obvious errors in pricing or product descriptions are not binding. If an error is identified after your order has been placed, we will contact you and give you the option to cancel for a full refund or proceed at the correct price.

4. PAYMENT

4.1 Payments are processed securely by our authorised third-party payment providers. Full payment is required when you place your order. We do not store your full payment card details.

4.2 To help prevent fraud, we may verify your details using third-party verification services. These checks are for identity verification only and do not affect your credit rating.

4.3 Where products are age restricted, you confirm that you and any intended recipient meet the required minimum age.

5. DELIVERY

5.1 We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. Our delivery partners may include Royal Mail, DPD and other trusted couriers. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.

5.2 In-stock items are usually delivered within 3–5 working days after dispatch. Pre-orders are dispatched once stock arrives. We cannot hold in-stock items until pre-order items become available.

5.3 For our 24-Hour Tracked / Next Business Day service:

• Orders placed before 12:00 Monday to Friday are normally dispatched the same working day.

• Orders placed after 12:00 are dispatched on the next working day.

• Weekends and UK bank holidays are excluded.

• Severe weather, industrial action and other events outside our control may affect delivery times.

• Service availability depends on your delivery postcode.

5.4 Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery. Ownership passes once full payment has been received.

6. CANCELLATIONS (CHANGE OF MIND) – CONSUMER CONTRACTS REGULATIONS 2013

6.1 You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days beginning the day after you receive your goods.

6.2 To cancel, email admin@boardgamist.com quoting your order number and confirming that you wish to cancel. You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us.

6.3 You are responsible for the cost of returning goods where you are exercising your right to change your mind.

6.4 We will refund the cost of the goods together with the standard delivery charge (where the entire order is returned) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back. Refunds are made using your original payment method.

6.5 You may inspect the goods as you would in a physical shop. We may reduce your refund if the value of the goods has been diminished through handling beyond what is reasonably necessary.

7. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS – CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015

7.1 If your order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us at admin@boardgamist.com as soon as reasonably possible. We may ask for photographs to help resolve the issue.

7.2 Your legal rights include:

• Up to 30 days: the short-term right to reject goods for a refund.

• Up to 6 months: the right to a repair or replacement and, if unsuccessful, a refund in most cases.

• Up to 6 years: potential remedies where goods do not last a reasonable length of time.

7.3 Where a product is faulty, we will cover reasonable return postage costs or provide a prepaid return label where appropriate.

8. RETURNS PROCESS

8.1 Please contact us by email before returning any item. We'll provide return instructions and the correct returns address.

Returns must not be sent to our registered office unless we have specifically instructed you to do so.

8.2 Please package goods securely with all components, manuals and original packaging where possible. Include your order number and contact details.

8.3 We recommend obtaining proof of postage. Unless we have arranged the return, you remain responsible for the goods until they reach us.

9. GIFT VOUCHERS AND REWARDS

9.1 Use of a Boardgamist gift voucher constitutes acceptance of these Terms. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase additional gift vouchers.

9.2 Please treat gift vouchers like cash. We are not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers.

9.3 Where an item purchased using a gift voucher is returned, refunds will normally be issued as a replacement voucher. Any additional cash payment will be refunded to the original payment method.

9.4 Reward points are awarded only when you are logged into your account. They cannot be added retrospectively. Promotional codes may have expiry dates and may be withdrawn at any time.

10. USER CONTENT

10.1 You are responsible for any reviews, comments or other content you submit. Content must not be unlawful, defamatory, offensive, infringe intellectual property rights or contain malicious software.

10.2 By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and publish it for the operation and promotion of our business. We reserve the right to moderate or remove content.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

11.1 All content on this website, including text, graphics, photographs and logos, is owned by or licensed to Boardgamist Ltd unless otherwise stated. It may not be copied or used for commercial purposes without our permission.

11.2 Product names, artwork and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

12. WEBSITE INFORMATION

12.1 We make every reasonable effort to ensure our website is accurate and up to date. However, errors may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to correct inaccuracies, amend information or cancel orders affected by material errors, providing a full refund where appropriate.

12.2 If precise edition or component details are important to your purchase, please contact us before ordering.

13. COMPETITIONS AND GIVEAWAYS

13.1 Unless otherwise stated, no purchase is necessary to enter. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash alternative.

13.2 Entry dates and rules will be published alongside each promotion. Winners will be selected at random unless otherwise stated and contacted using the method by which they entered.

13.3 Winners must claim their prize within 7 days unless otherwise specified. If a prize is unclaimed, we may redraw.

13.4 Promotions are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Instagram, Facebook or any other social media platform unless expressly stated.

13.5 Unless otherwise stated, entrants must be UK residents aged 13 or over. Entrants under 18 should have permission from a parent or guardian.

13.6 Personal information collected for competitions will be handled in accordance with our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

14. LIABILITY

14.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14.2 We are not liable for losses that:

• are not caused by our breach;

• were not reasonably foreseeable; or

• relate to business use, as we sell to consumers.

14.3 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, although we will make reasonable efforts to minimise any disruption.

15. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

15.1 We aim to resolve any concerns quickly and fairly. Please contact us at customerhappiness@boardgamist.com in the first instance.

15.2 If we cannot resolve a dispute, we will provide information about any appropriate Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service where applicable. Participation in ADR is voluntary.

15.3 These Terms are governed by English law. You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and you will retain any mandatory consumer rights applicable in your jurisdiction.

16. PRIVACY AND COOKIES

Your use of this website and any personal information you provide is governed by our Privacy & Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent and can be managed through our cookie preferences.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing a revised version on this website. The version in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.
