Temple Code
Temple Code
In Temple Code each player is an intrepid archaeologist in search of a hidden treasure inside an ancient temple. Everyone holds a secret combination of statuettes to unlock the vault. Everyone else can see your combination but you must uncover it using clever deduction.
At the start each player receives a hidden combination card plus two visible clue cards in front of them. On your turn you pick one of the visible cards from another player. You propose that clue next to your hidden code. Colored circles or triangles on the card edges tell you if a statuette matches exactly or just exists elsewhere in the code. Then you pass the cards to that player. Everyone gets a hint — so you must balance helping yourself without giving away too much.
You may try to decode your combination at any time. If you guess correctly you earn a half-medallion and draw a new code. If you guess wrong you discard and start anew. The first to collect two full medallions wins. Progress happens fast and the tension builds as each hint narrows down the possible statuettes.
This game is both competitive and social. It works solo or with up to four players and the full game plays in about 30 minutes. Each round you scan clues, weigh possibilities, bluff a little, and decide when to take the risk of a guess.
