First Giants
The museum wants a spectacular prehistoric exhibition, and rival palaeontologists are racing to uncover the most impressive fossils before anyone else gets them on display.
In First Giants, players collect cards representing dinosaurs, flying reptiles and giant mammals of different sizes. Each fossil card can help build your engine, create combinations and generate useful rewards. The key decision is whether to keep using a fossil for its effect or move it into your exhibition to score points.
That timing decision drives the whole game. While a fossil remains under study, it can keep helping your plans. Once it is displayed in your museum, it contributes towards victory but its active effect is lost. Display too early and your engine weakens. Wait too long and another museum may pull ahead before your best discoveries ever reach the public.
By the end, each player has built a different prehistoric display, shaped by timing, set collection and the fossils they chose to preserve for one more turn before sending them into history.
