Codenames Pictures is a team-based word association game that replaces words with intriguing abstract images. Players split into two teams, each led by a spymaster who knows the identity of every image on the table. Their challenge is to guide teammates toward the correct pictures using a single clue and a number.
The spymaster's clue must connect multiple images at once. Teammates then discuss, debate and point to the pictures they believe match the clue. Every correct guess brings the team closer to victory. Choosing an image belonging to the opposing team immediately helps your rivals, while revealing the assassin ends the game in an instant.
The game is easy to learn, making it accessible to newcomers, but the challenge of crafting efficient clues provides plenty of depth for experienced groups. Every grid of images creates a new puzzle and no two games unfold in exactly the same way.
