Come Sail Away
Come Sail Away puts you in charge of boarding passengers onto a grand ocean liner just before it departs port. The ship is elegant, the schedule is tight, and every passenger arrives with expectations about where they want to go. Your task is to guide them smoothly through the ship, filling cabins and facilities efficiently while keeping delays to a minimum.
On your turn, you select a passenger tile from a shared display and add it to your personal boarding grid. Passengers then automatically flow along the paths you have created, advancing step by step through corridors and into available rooms. Cabins and special spaces can only be filled once, so every choice permanently alters your ship’s layout. Careless placement can block routes or leave passengers stranded, while thoughtful planning can trigger satisfying chain reactions as multiple passengers settle into place in a single turn.
Scoring rewards efficiency and foresight. You earn points for filling cabins completely, matching passenger types, and making effective use of special ship facilities. At the same time, any passengers left waiting at the dock at the end of a round will cost you points. This creates constant tension between short term problem solving and long term planning as the ship gradually fills and space becomes scarce.
Strong interaction comes from competing over passenger tiles and reacting to shared round timing, while each player focuses on optimising their own ship. The rules are easy to learn, but the spatial puzzle deepens quickly as options narrow and mistakes become harder to undo.
