Crew members provide unique powers that can strengthen future turns, while carefully managing your resources helps you fulfil increasingly valuable tea contracts. Deciding when to claim new cards, complete objectives or invest in long-term combinations creates meaningful choices throughout the game.

As your pirate crew grows, powerful synergies emerge between characters and contracts, rewarding careful planning and efficient engine building. The game ends after the final round of drafting and contract fulfilment, with victory awarded to the captain who has earned the most prestige from completed contracts and other scoring opportunities.
