Enter the volatile world of Arcs: Conflict & Collapse in the Reach, a sharp sci-fi strategy game where players act as imperial officials vying for control in a decaying empire.
Each round, you lead a “chapter” using a trick-taking card system to decide how many and which actions you may take. Move ships, build infrastructure, wage war, or manipulate the market. You also declare ambitions (objectives) that shape scoring for that round, but declaring gives up some power.
Conflict is resolved via custom dice, and players manage starships that can be damaged or destroyed.
The complexity emerges from balancing card play, risk in dice combat, and shifting goals. With 2–4 players, sessions run 60–120 minutes. Arcs blends area control, resource economy, and hand-management into a compact, difficult, and narrative-driven space opera
