It’s a race to the finish in Flamme Rouge. In this fast-paced strategic bicycle racing game, each player controls a team of two riders. The Sprinteur is the faster of your two cyclists and the Rouler keeps a steady but generally slower pace. Find the balance in knowing when to play your higher cards to break away from the pack knowing of the increased fatigue that being out in front brings. Alternatively you can play it safe by staying in the midst of the other riders and benefit from the slipstream of those in the lead, waiting for your moment to sprint to the finish.
Only one player will have enough cunning and skill to become champion. Flamme Rouge often ends in nail-biting finishes as players try and get over the line ahead of their opponents.

I’m a big fan of Flamme Rouge. I don’t think you have to be into the theme to really enjoy it, I have literally zero interest in cycling as a sport and even less in the Tour de France but I love playing this game. The tactical battle of trying to balance not playing your high cards too early and get bogged down with exhaustion, with getting left behind and leaving it too late to make a dart from the back of the field is intriguing and everyone seems to take on the challenge differently. - Read more at S vs J Board Games
Flamme Rouge strikes an excellent balance between offering a straightforward experience for players at all skill levels, as well as being both thematic and strategically interesting. As a result, it feels like the whole package in terms of fun factor, replay value and being playable with different counts of players and different mixes of skills and experience. - Read more at Big Boss Battle

This is a very clever racing game with simple turns, but extra strategy around when to break away or remain part of the pack, mixed with a bit of luck from the cards in your hand. I wondered whether the theme would be for me, but it works so well. Almost every time we've played the final sprint finish has been an edge of your seat gaming moment!
