Sales Sales Sales

Black Friday has wrapped up, and I am still very much in the middle of packing the mountain of orders that came in. The office looks like a cardboard tornado has passed through, and I am bouncing between tape, labels, and trying to keep my stockroom from turning into an obstacle course. It is busy, messy, and a bit relentless, but honestly, that is the best kind of problem to have.
This past week has been a reminder of why I am building Boardgamist in the first place. Not because of the rush of a sale, but because more people are choosing to shop here and bring something new to their table. That means a lot, especially for a small business where every decision, every restock, and every late-night tweak to the website comes from one person trying to push things forward piece by piece.
What stood out most is the sense of momentum. Orders coming through from long-time customers and brand-new faces. People finding the store through word of mouth or a post they happened to catch at the right moment. Those little signs of growth are what keep me pushing ahead, even when the office floor is covered in offcuts of packing paper.
I have a clear picture in my head of where this can go. A bigger space. More community events. More people discovering games they did not know they would love. These busy weeks help build that foundation. They show me that the direction is right and that there is something worth growing here.
So thank you for choosing to support this small business during the sale. Whether you bought something, browsed the collection, or just cheered things on from afar, it all adds up. And while I might be knee-deep in parcels for a little while yet, I would not trade it for anything.
Here is to carrying this momentum into the next step forward.
